那315晚会是什么呢？它是一个电视节目，在每一年的3月15日晚上播出，第一次播出是1991年，到现在已经36年了。这个节目会曝光一些不好的公司。曝光，意思是把不好的事情说出来，让大家知道。比如卖假东西的、食品不安全的，或者骗钱的公司。坏公司在这一天会很紧张，因为他们害怕被曝光。
为什么在中国，大家这么关注这个节目呢？因为如果公司被曝光，他们会有很严重的后果。他们的产品也可能不能再卖了，很多人也会不再相信这个公司了。所以很多公司在3月都会特别小心。
有一年，315晚会说有一些餐厅用不新鲜的肉做菜。不新鲜，就是已经不好了，但是他们还是卖给客人。315也会说一些餐厅的厨房不干净，很多人看到以后很害怕，因为这些店我们平时也可能会去。
但是，人们对这个节目也有不同的看法。有的人觉得315很好，为了消费者的权益，曝光那些骗人的公司。也有人觉得，为什么只有这一天才说这些问题，平时为什么不说？为什么一定要等到3月15日这一天呢？

Today we’re going to talk about a program that happens every year in China, called the 315 Gala. “315” means March 15th, which in China is called Consumer Rights Day. A consumer means someone who buys things; rights means the things we should be allowed to have. So what are consumers’ rights? It means we should be able to buy safe and real products. In short, this day is to protect people when they shop.
So what is the 315 Gala? It is a TV program that is broadcast every year on the evening of March 15th. The first show was in 1991, so now it has been on for 36 years. The program exposes bad companies. Expose means to tell everyone about something bad. For example, companies that sell fake products, unsafe food, or scam people. Bad companies get very nervous on this day because they are afraid of being exposed.
Why do people in China care so much about this show? Because if a company is exposed, the consequences can be serious. Their products might not be sold anymore, and many people may stop trusting the company. So every March, companies are especially careful.
One year, the 315 Gala said that some restaurants were using meat that was not fresh. Not fresh means it was already bad, but they still sold it to customers. The program also showed some kitchens that were not clean. Many people were very shocked because these are restaurants we might go to in real life.
But people have different opinions about the program. Some think the 315 Gala is very good because it protects consumers’ rights and exposes cheating companies. Others ask, why only on this day? Why not all the time? Why wait until March 15th?
