这个团队在中国成都。她们做的工作叫上门维修。“上门”的意思是到客户家里去，“维修”就是修理坏了的东西。比如灯坏了,电器坏了，师傅就会到家里帮你修。在中国，这种工作以前大部分都是男性做的，比如电工（修电的人）或者维修师傅。所以很多人会觉得，这是一种体力工作。体力工作就是需要用很多力气的工作。
但是在成都，有一群女性开始做这样的工作。她们带着工具箱，到客户家里修灯、修电器、装灯具，有时候也会安装家具。这个团队成立的时间不长，但是已经给一千多个家庭提供过服务。“提供服务”的意思就是帮助别人解决问题。
很多客户第一次看到女师傅来修东西，会有一点吃惊，因为大家已经习惯看到男维修工。但是很多人用过她们的服务以后，都觉得她们做得很好，也很细心。“细心”的意思是注意很多小细节，做事很认真。
一开始的时候，也有人不太相信她们。有的人会问：女生真的会修电器吗？女生真的可以做这种工作吗？ 但是慢慢地，越来越多的人用过她们的服务，也开始改变想法。因为其实一个工作，不一定只适合男性，也不一定只适合女性。只要有技术，有耐心，谁都可以把工作做好。
所以，“强记女工”的故事告诉我们，很多人以前觉得有些工作女生不能做，但是现在大家发现，其实女生也可以做得很好。

Shifu means a skilled worker or master, because they can do many things that we cannot. In China, many repair workers are men. But in Chengdu, a city in China, there is a group of repair workers who are all women. They are called Qiangji Nügong. Today, let’s talk about them.
If this is the first time you have heard this term, you might think it sounds a little strange. What does “Qiangji Nügong” mean? “Qiangji” is actually a shop name, or a brand name. If you walk around in China, you will often see names like this, for example “Chenji Barbecue” or “Wangji Noodles”. “Nügong” simply means female workers. So “Qiangji Nügong” is the name of a team.
This team is based in Chengdu. Their work is called home repair services. “Home” means they go to the customer’s house, and “repair” means fixing things that are broken. For example, if a light is broken or an electrical appliance stops working, a repair worker will come to your home and fix it. In China, this kind of work used to be done mostly by men, such as electricians or repair technicians. So many people think it is manual work. Manual work means work that requires physical effort.
But in Chengdu, a group of women have started doing this kind of job. They carry their toolboxes and go to customers’ homes to repair lights, fix appliances, and install light fittings. Sometimes they also install furniture. This team has not existed for very long, but they have already provided services to more than one thousand families. “Providing services” simply means helping people solve problems.
When many customers first see a female repair worker arrive, they feel a little surprised, because they are used to seeing male repair workers. But after using their service, many people say they do a very good job and are very careful. “Careful” means paying attention to small details and doing things seriously.
At the beginning, some people did not really believe in them. Some people asked: can women really repair electrical appliances? Can women really do this kind of work?
