你们看过电影《消失的爱人》(Gone Girl)吗？这部2014年的电影非常有名。这部电影的女主角是Rosamund Pike，她是一位英国女演员，也是好莱坞影后。她也有一个很好听的中文名，叫“裴淳华”。今天我们说起她，是因为她的儿子刚刚得了汉语桥世界小学生比赛的冠军。他的儿子能说非常流利的中文。今天，我们一起来听一听这位好莱坞影后的儿子，能说多好的中文吧！
裴淳华的丈夫是一个“中国通”。“中国通”，意思是有些人虽然不是中国人，但是能说很好的中文，也知道很多中国的文化和知识，经常到中国旅游。我们也可以说一个人是“英国通”，“美国通”，“日本通”等等。裴淳华的丈夫虽然也是英国人，但是中文说得特别好，是一个中国通，他们的两个儿子出生以后，从小就跟着她的丈夫学中文。上小学以后，他们每一年都会参加汉语桥比赛。汉语桥比赛是一个汉语比赛，来自全世界的学中文的学生都可以参加。他们要在比赛里说中文，用中文演讲，回答问题，表演，等等。今年，汉语桥小学生比赛的冠军就是裴淳华的一个儿子，他叫尤子君。他只有十二岁，但是他的中文说得特别好。我们一起来听一听他说中文吧：
“五岁的时候，我跟着爸爸妈妈和弟弟一起去了北京旅游。听到我说中文，所有的人都感到很惊奇，因为我是一个金头发，绿眼睛的外国小孩。当我走在街上时，很多人都要来跟我照相，简直是太好玩了！下次去北京的时候，我一定要再去一次长城。看看用我的双脚，从一个烽火台，走到另外一个烽火台，需要多长时间。我想去近距离观察一下鸟巢的雄伟，幻想着当年运动健将们的英姿。当然也想去它旁边的水立方游一次泳。北京有太多太多的地方我想去了。”
我听完以后，觉得这个小孩的中文说得真的太好了！他也是一个小小的中国通。他知道长城，也知道长城有很多烽火台。他知道北京的鸟巢体育馆，也知道水立方游泳馆。他能说很多很难的词，比如，他知道“运动健将”，意思是让人尊敬的运动员。他也知道雄伟。如果我们说一个地方很雄伟，意思是这里非常大，非常美丽。比如，我们可以说：“伦敦塔桥是雄伟的建筑。”我们也可以说：“这个教堂太雄伟了。”
尤子君在比赛的时候说：“我还会继续学，学到所有人都觉得，我是世界上第一个金头发的中国人。”我想对尤子君小朋友说：“你太棒了！如果我只听你说中文，不看你的照片，我已经觉得你是一个中国人了。”
好啦，我们来复习一下今天学的词语吧：
- 中国通，意思是一个外国人，能说很好的中文，也知道很多中国的知识。我们也可以说一个人是美国通，英国通，德国通，等等。
- 运动健将，意思是让人尊敬的运动员。比如：奥林匹克运动会上，我们看到了很多运动健将们在比赛。
- 雄伟，意思是一个建筑非常大，非常美丽。比如：“我的城市里有一座雄伟的大教堂”。

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to MaoMi Chinese!
Have you seen the movie Gone Girl? This 2014 film is very famous. The lead actress of this movie is Rosamund Pike, a British actress and a Hollywood star. She also has a beautiful Chinese name: “Pei Chunhua.” Today, we’re talking about her because her son just won the championship in the Chinese Bridge World Primary School Competition. Her son can speak very fluent Chinese. Today, let’s take a listen to how well this Hollywood actress’s son speaks Chinese!
Pei Chunhua’s husband is a “China expert.” A “China expert” refers to someone who, although not Chinese, can speak very good Chinese, knows a lot about Chinese culture and knowledge, and often travels to China. We can also say someone is a “Britain expert,” “America expert,” “Japan expert,” and so on. Although Pei Chunhua’s husband is also British, his Chinese is exceptionally good, making him a China expert. After their two sons were born, they started learning Chinese from him at a young age. After entering primary school, they participated in the Chinese Bridge competition every year.
The Chinese Bridge competition is a Chinese language contest open to students learning Chinese from all over the world. Participants give speeches, answer questions, perform, and more, all in Chinese. This year, the champion of the Chinese Bridge Primary School competition is one of Pei Chunhua’s sons, named You Zijun. He is only twelve years old, but his Chinese is exceptionally good. Let’s listen to him speaking in Chinese:
“When I was five, I went to Beijing with my parents and younger brother. When people heard me speaking Chinese, they were all amazed because I am a foreign child with blonde hair and green eyes. When I walked on the streets, many people wanted to take pictures with me. It was so much fun! Next time I go to Beijing, I definitely want to visit the Great Wall again. I want to see how long it would take me to walk from one beacon tower to another using my own two feet. I want to take a closer look at the grandeur of the Bird’s Nest and imagine the elegance of the athletes back then. Of course, I also want to swim in the Water Cube next to it. There are so many places in Beijing I want to visit.”
After listening to him, I felt that this child’s Chinese is truly incredible! He is also a young China expert. He knows about the Great Wall and its many beacon towers. He knows about Beijing’s Bird’s Nest stadium and the Water Cube swimming center. He can even say many difficult words. For example, he knows “sports elites,” meaning athletes who are highly respected. He also knows “majestic.” When we say a place is majestic, it means it is grand and beautiful. For example, we can say, “Tower Bridge in London is a majestic structure,” or “This church is so majestic.”
During the competition, You Zijun said, “I will keep learning until everyone believes I am the first blonde-haired Chinese person in the world.” I want to say to You Zijun, “You’re amazing! If I only listened to you speaking Chinese without seeing your photo, I would already think you are Chinese.”
Alright, let’s review today’s vocabulary:
- China expert: Refers to a foreigner who can speak very good Chinese and knows a lot about Chinese knowledge. We can also say someone is an “America expert,” “Britain expert,” “Germany expert,” and so on.
- Sports elites: Refers to athletes who are highly respected. For example: “We saw many sports elites competing at the Olympics.”
- Majestic: Refers to a building that is very grand and beautiful. For example: “There is a majestic cathedral in my city.”
What do you think of You Zijun’s Chinese? Actually, his mother, Pei Chunhua, also knows a lot of Chinese.
